We help when you need it
Yes, you are required to provide the PTP reference number in order to apply for the Residence Permit. Moreover, it is important that the property you own is suitable for living. If the property is still under construction, the applicant can only apply for a residence permit based on high income.
In accordance with the current law, foreigners are not allowed to purchase property with a shared title deed. The property must have either an individual title deed or a Kat İrtifakı (floor easement) title deed.
However, the amended law includes a provision allowing transactions involving shared title deeds to be approved if the property has a valid Building Permit or Planning Approval, although such approvals are time-limited.

THE IMMOVABLE PROPERTY
COMMISSION
The Immovable Property Commission (IPC) was set up under the Immovable Property Law (67/2005) in accordance with the rulings of the European Court of Human Rights in the case of Xenides-Arestis v Turkey. The purpose of this measure was to establish an effective domestic remedy for claims relating to abandoned properties in North Cyprus.
The IPC examines claims for restitution, compensation and exchange according to the provisions of the law 67/2005. Its considerations are based on the principles of bizonality and bicommunality which have been common elements of the 1977-1979 high level agreements as well as plans for a settlement of the Cyprus issue prepared by the United Nations. It seeks to satisfy the legitimate claims of property owners without prejudice to the rights of the Turkish Cypriot Community.
Erginel Law has helped a number of Greek Cypriots to apply to the IPC. Positive results have been achieved and applicants have expressed their satisfaction with the work undertaken.

Many thanks to everyone at Erginel Law for legal advices on my residency application.
Special thanks to Miss Liliia who took care off my case from the beginning to the finish. Miss Liliia is very understanding and very helpful. I really appreciate her professional services. I wish her all the best. Thanks so much.
have used the services of Erginel Law for very many years now in connection with a house purchase, obtaining title deeds, dealing with probate issues and most recently the sale of my property in the TRNC. The sale could have been quite difficult to complete, bearing in mind Covid prevented me from travelling to the TRNC, but thanks to Erginel Law everything went extremely smoothly!
