Erdem Erginel joined Erginel Law in 2017 as a Principal and Legal Consultant. Prior to that, he served as an International Relations and Legal Officer at the European Commission in Brussels for over 12 years. In that capacity he acted as a negotiator in Free Trade Agreement negotiations between the EU and third countries, and monitored the implementation of EU law across Europe. Previously he worked at the international law firm DLA Piper in London and the internationally accredited Ersoy Bilgehan Law Office in Istanbul.
He holds an LLB (Hons) from the University of Southampton and an LLM from University College London, as well as a BA in Economics and History from Amherst College in the USA. He also holds certificates in law from Harvard Law School and the American University in Washington DC.
As well as dealing with wills and estates, property issues and corporate cases, Erdem is Erginel Law’s specialist in maritime matters. He also has wide experience in European Union law and intellectual property law. He is fluent in Turkish and English, and speaks French, German and conversational Greek.
